Upcoming candidate forums for local, state and federal offices. Events listed here are NOT all sponsored or moderated by the League of Women Voters. When we know who is moderating or hosting, we list that info. (Note: events are deleted after they occur unless they have been recorded for public access. We post the link when we have that information.) We do not post one-party candidate events, hosted by party supporters.

Training or Assistance Offered for Candidate Forum Organizers

If your civic club or organization is interested in organizing a candidates forum for local or state races in your community, the League of Women Voters New Hampshire is happy to work with you. With years of forum experience in our background, we have prepared a manual to make it easy for any civic group to organize and to run a forum. We offer free training, or if you have some experience and justwant advice on a point or two, feel free to contact us. We can advise you on protocols. We may be able to supply a moderator, if requested. We are also able to train moderators and have a zoom training scheduled for January 32, 2024, via zoom. (Send us an email if you are interested in becoming a forum moderator.)  Email the League president via our Contact Us page.

  • October 10, 2024 : Thursday, October 10. Candidates forum in LACONIA . Candidates for Laconia Wards 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6:  (eight candidates for 4 seats) NH House of Representatives; two candidates for Senate Belknap district 2,  & two Executive Council District 1 candidates have been invited. Partner organizations helping with this event include UU Society of Laconia, Rotary Club of Laconia, Laconia Human Relations Committee, Temple B'nai Israel-Laconia, Greater Laconia Ministerial Assn.

  • October 22, 2024 :

    Tuesday evening, 7-9 pmNEW LONDON, at the Kearsarge Professional Development Center. Invited are the candidates for NH House district Merrimack 7 (New London and Newbury), state Senate district 5,  and Executive Council district 2.   • October 28, 2024 : Monday evening. 6 to 8 pm. At Interlakes Elementary School, Meredith. Candidate forum for MEREDITH candidates for NH House (Belknap district 2) and NH Senate district 2. Also candidates for Executive Council District 1. Co-hosted by the Meredith Democrats and the Belknap county Republicans.
