August 19, 2026 : Wednesday, starting at 10 am. The NH Legislature will meet to consider some of the 33 bills that Governor Ayotte vetoed. House and Senate will each vote. Each body must have a supermajority (2/3 agreeing) to override a veto.
Bills vetoed by the Governor can be found in the House Calendar. For each is a brief statement from the Governor about the reason for the veto.

August 23, 2026 : Sunday, 10 am to 1 pm at the Nashua Farmers Market along the Riverwalk: For Nashua Residents Only. Register to vote. Nashua officials will be there to register you. Bring documents to prove your ID, age, where you live in Nashua, and if you are a first time voter in NH, also bring your documents to prove you are a citizen (birth certificate, naturalization papers, or US Passport).
September 1, 2026 :
Tuesday, 6 to 7 pm at Portsmouth Library, Levenson Room. Public invited to this Your Vote Matters workshop. Learn about voter registration, absentee and in person voting requirements, how to prove "domicile" and plenty of handouts to share with others. You can even check your voter registration status and, if you vote absentee, the status of that process.

September 3, 2026 : Thursday morning, 9 to 11 am, at NH Institute for Politics at St. Anselm College in Goffstown: Elections in the Age of AI. A program hosted by AARP and open to all, but advance registration is required, about the role of Artificial Intelligence in campaigns and elections. September 8, 2026 : Tuesday. State/federal primary. Check your own town's website for polling hours and locations, sample ballots, and absentee voting application forms. Reminder: voters must show a government-issued photo ID to get a ballot. That could be a driver's license, a non-driver photo ID, or a passport or military ID.
